If you were born in a country were extremists defined your global image, what would you do? If you were struggling to survive, could you find it in you to be hospitable to everyone? The vast majority of Afghans are warm, hospitable, and want the same things as the rest of us: a normal life where parents can provide for their children and watch them grow up in a world that is safe and full of opportunities.

When people describe Afghan's as terrorists, champion them the way you would want to be represented. Build a mind set of hope for Afghanistan and pass it around. Afghans are good people who are worth fighting for.

When Jaden climbed into some nettles when we were outside the city, these two sheppard boys came over and rubbed a clover looking plant on his leg to make him feel better. When they were done and Jaden had said 'thank you' I wondered how many other kids back home would have done the same as the sheppard boys. These are boys anyone can be proud of; they show the warmth and humanity of the Afghan people.
